I'd like to thank whoever books the Hartford Symphony Orchestra Pops shows for putting Adam in a Winery. What matters most is that he is healthy, he has struggled for years to be sober, and he looks and sounds great. It's called growing-up, the show was different from before because he is different. If people would calm their tech minds down and listen to what he was singing, they might have had a better experience. Those who walked out missed a great performance, a true heartfelt performance. He is more than a musician, he is a poet. He has always bared his soul, and continues to do so. I understand why people thought this wasn't the Counting Crows of the past, but what I don't understand is why people are hating on Adam Duritz. He is a recovering alcoholic, surrounded by drunk and high people, drinking water and chewing gum to get through it. Are you kidding? I am shocked that someone was offended he was chewing gum. Shame on you, there were wasted women in the front row shoving their wine glasses in his face. Have some consideration. You might not have a problem, but when it is life or death you should be aware. Rob Thomas was as great as everyone else wrote, interacting with the crowd, even came down and took selfies with people. Great energy, very fun. And finally, K Phillips was awesome, I can see why Adam put him on his own collective c.d. And a very nice guy. Way to go.
